Let’s Get Coffee: Juliette’s and Kéan in Newport Beach
Juliette’s Café & Coffee Culture is where I’d start for a great latte in Newport Beach and a little decadence in the day. What I love is how personal the space feels. Wherever you look, there seems to be another thoughtful detail—something that makes you wonder who chose it and what the story behind it might be. You get the feeling that someone cared deeply about how this café would look and feel.

That’s part of the pleasure of spending time there. I find myself appreciating the surroundings along with the food and coffee. The lattes and cappuccinos, the ambiance, the attention to detail—it all comes together. It’s a place I’d recommend when you have time to settle in, order something to eat, and enjoy being there.
Nearby, Kéan Coffee has that established neighborhood feel that I also love. Regulars meet up, people work while occasionally looking up to watch the world go by, and the dogs seem to have their own social circle.

There’s something comforting about a coffeehouse where everyday life is happening around you. You can catch up with a friend or sit with your coffee and take it all in. At Kéan, that familiar neighborhood energy is a big part of the appeal.
So, if we’re making coffee plans, those are my two suggestions: Juliette’s for a thoughtfully put-together café experience that feels like a little treat, and Kéan for the easy company of the neighborhood. Which kind of morning are you in the mood for?
